About the program

Encyclopedia Galactica is a full rewrite of the application that appeared in the Internet in August 2000. This new version has been built using the following tools:

	The MinGW C++ compiler, available at http://www.mingw.org.
	The wxWindows cross-platform class library, available at http://www.wxwindows.org.

The program consists of about 40,000 lines of C++ code and has been compiled over 7,000 times before reaching its current status. It exploits many free algorithms and data files found on the Internet.
